Amek, at long last, has produced the 9098 In-Line Console, building on the original 9098 design.

Using circuits designed by Mr Rupert Neve, the console has been
developed by the Split 9098 co-designer Graham Langley. The 9098
In-line is reputed to have the best sonic specification of any large
format analogue console in the marketplace today. There is only one
other console that comes close to the sonic quality of the 9098
In-Line and that is the Split 9098.

The console is equipped to deal with a range of multi-panning formats
including LCRS and 5.1. This makes it an ideal choice for Music Recording
Studios, Post Production Rooms and Broadcasters.

Configurations can be built from 32 or 24 position chassis buckets with the largest
console channel size encompassing an impressive 120 channel input modules. The
faders are motorised Penny and Giles 3000 Series faders. And, as a first in AMEK
analogue console design, both signal paths have motorised faders. All Master, Monitor
and Control functions are handled in the 12 module wide Master section, itself devided
into 11 different modules. The Master section has been designed specifically to
incorporate the preferred way of working on large format analogue mixing consoles.
Care has been taken to ensure that any monitor changes or common automation tasks
can be handled from the sweet spot, at the press of a button. Individual or global
channel functions can be set-up from the Master section. Uniquely for any dynamics
processing that needs to be done is also achieved from the Master Section.

The consoles metering features Yamaki meters, VU's, or an LED meter being
developed by AMEK, in the channel meterhood. Channel meters can meter the
Tape/Buss signal or the Channel Mic/Line signal. There are 6 VU meters in the Master
Section reading LCRS and Stereo signals. Optionally a 10.1 inch TFT screen can
replace the VU meters with on-screen software metering. Other metering options may
be purchased. Mounted, as standard in the Master Section meterhood, is a 10.1 inch
TFT screen which displays a new look, Supertrue Automation system. Supertrue is the
worlds most widely used automation system and is enhanced with standard features
such as Recall, Virtual Dynamics (VD) and Visual Effects (VFX).

A comprehensive machine control and talkback system is incorporated within this new
console. Protocols supported are Sony 9 pin, Timeline MicroLynx, Adams Smith Zeta
3, Motionworker and MMC.
